Ongoing record of issues with Linux

OS: Ubuntu Linux 22.04 LTS (I don't get to choose this, sadly)

### Login manager (GDM?)
Don't seem to like *any* of my external monitors, logging out of an active session means I just have to hard-reboot my laptop as every screen, including the laptop's own builtin one, will go pitch black.

### Wayland
Dropped it, the screenshare is broken beyond repair. On some apps it just doesn't work (Discord) while everywhere else it seems windows don't refresh properly and the screenshare shows an outdated frame unless I click a lot in and out of them.
